Individual Therapy

We provide individual therapy that is customized to your individual needs. The initial session will focus on reviewing your personal history, specific goals and developing a plan on how to effectively approach your concerns and/or goals. We strive to provide you with an environment that allows you to speak freely and openly to help you feel understood and heard. Together we will work on understanding the issues that are making you feel depressed, angry, anxious, overwhelmed, stressed or even lost. We will help you develop your skills to help you cope, relate and heal to enhance your ability to grow and feel happy. We also seek to help you develop insight into how your own thoughts and emotions play a role in your life and how to effectively cope with them to lead a healthier, happier life.

Individual therapy lasts between 45 and 60 minutes on average and can be a short or a long term. There are also various approaches to therapy when working individually. Most approaches are tailored to the specific needs of the client and what works best. We will collaborate with you and seek feedback from you to let us know what is and what is not working so we can obtain the best outcomes.

Some possible approaches our therapists use are as follows…
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Solution-Focused Therapy
• Person-Centered Therapy
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy
• Motivational Enhancement Therapy
